About the Marine Research Station

This incredible marine research station serves as a platform for research and early career training. Located in Cape Town, it is run by a team of passionate conservationists and scientists. The centre specialises in projects that monitor and investigate the biodiversity of a global hotspot home to more than 3,500 endemic marine species. At the core of the centre's values is to engage the wider public through educational and engaging content, scientific communication, events and Citizen Science initiatives. They use eco-tourism and citizen science as tools to introduce both local and international communities to the scientific method and the wonders of the ocean.

If you aspire to have a career in marine research and/or conservation, then an internship with this Marine Research Station will give you incredible field skills and experience.
