About the Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre
This busy centre is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured, orphaned, or displaced wild animals. They care for an incredible 3,000+ animals each year. The centre's team of committed and volunteers ensures that these animals receive the care they need to return to the wild.
Accredited by NSPCA, the centre adheres to global standards in wildlife rehabilitation and ethics,
continuously working to improve the quality of care and raise awareness for wildlife conservation in
South Africa.
The centre cares for a wide variety of animals including duiker, birds, vervet monkeys, tortoises, mongoose, genet and bushbuck.
Whether your area of expertise is conservation, animal care and welfare or marketing, an internship at this centre will provide you with incredible real life experience with indigenous animals.

Accommodation
The volunteer accommodation is at the centre and can accommodate up to 10 people in separate male and female bedrooms. The house also has three bathrooms, a living room with TV (connected to Netflix), small dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a washing machine, a safe for valuables and an outside fire pit and braai (barbecue) areas.
Want a little more privacy? You can upgrade to the private accommodation, next to the shared house. This has one bedroom, a private kitchen, lounge, bathroom and patio and shares the communal garden with the main volunteer house.
Both accommodations have wifi and meals are included. Volunteers do their own laundry and are expected to keep the accommodation clean and tidy.
